Exciting Things to Come ... I'm beyond happy to share that I've been able to rejoin the life of an active author/editor again. This has actually been true for two months now, but I wanted to be somewhat certain I could maintain my return before announcing it. What does this mean? I have several open editing spaces for the fall and winter if you are looking to hire an editor or proofreader. And ... I'll have book news to share with the world in the next two weeks! Can't wait to tell you all about it. Thanks for continuing to ask about Noah and the gang as well as my other stories. You'll get new chapters from "my worlds" very soon! 12.03.2015 A Writing & Editing Leave of Absence I've been putting off this update. Because I kept hoping I'd find a way around this announcement and then I wanted to feel well enough to give you a detailed account of the whys and whens. Unfortunately, none of us are going to get either. In the last eighteen months, my CFS symptoms have worsened - again. Though I have found some relief with a new diet, doctors, and treatment plan, it hasn't been enough. So, I have to take an official break from all writing and editing. (This has been happening already as a byproduct of the worsening symptoms, and nothing I've done has allowed me to gain traction in spite of them). What does this mean? As for my writing, I am not quitting as a story teller. I couldn't even if I tried. But it does mean I'll be taking a step back from active publication. I'm not giving up on Noah and the gang; you WILL have Hunted in your hands one day; I just can't tell you when that may be. This also goes for that YA Superpowered/Alternate Universe Novella Collection I've been hinting at. Kayleigh and Luke will see the page, but not today or this week or this month. Maybe not next year. I deeply want to pull these characters out of my head and put them in your hands in the form of written stories, and I'm praying and hoping that one day I'll be able to do that. For now? Know that no one wants these books out more than me and that the moment I can work on, finish, and publish them, you are going to know about it. I promise. As for my editing, for the time being, I am not booking any freelance jobs. With this in mind, I've hidden my Editor page here on the website. When I feel ready to take on clients again, I will make an announcement here and on social media. In the mean time, I'm going to figure out what this new normal looks like, seek new/other treatments, and live my life with the help of my family and friends - real and imaginary. ;) And if you're reading this, thank you for being a part of my author/editor journey. 03.13.2015 Haunted FREE Today and Tomorrow In honor of Haunted's birthday, the kindle ebook version is free on Amazon today and tomorrow! And more celebratory news is on the way... 03.03.2015 What would I do without the Arrow Score? If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter at all, you know I have pretty significant crush on Oliver Queen and CW's Arrow. Why am I sharing this? Because I've been fighting Daniel tooth and nail for months over what his chapters were going to sound like. Part of the problem? I don't have an extensive playlist devoted to him, like the ones I have for Noah and Maddison. And then, I stumbled upon the Arrow Season One TV Soundtrack. Dark. Gritty. And perfect for Daniel. Now the words flow whether he wants them to or not. So yeah, thanks Oliver Queen. ;) 01.09.2015 Fan Boy Pastor reviews Haunted Fellow Arrow fan, JC Prescott reviews Haunted, contrasting it with The Fault in Our Stars and The Hunger Games. 12.31.2014 Noah and Maddison Make EIR's Fave Fictional Couples of 2014 List You guys! Megan Besing at Edgy Inspirational Romance put Noah and Maddison on her Fave Fictional Couples of 2014 list and awarded them the prize of: “I just want to hug them and squeeze them and protect their fictional bodies.” Or “The couple who will do anything for each other.” You know who else made her list? Maxon and America! Excuse me, while I dance around the room and scream into a pillow!! 12.11.2014 Haunted featured at Tomes and Nosh Austenne Grey paired a Haunted review with three scrumptious recipes (both gluten and corn-free!) I seriously can't wait to try them out. Yum! |
